Created 35 years ago out of the James Bay Northern Quebec Agreement, Cree Regional Economic Enterprises Company Inc. (CREECO) has become recognized as the regional economic engine for the Cree Nation of Eeyou Istchee (Quebec). Rodney W. Hester occupies the office of Business Development Coordinator for CREECO Inc. He obtained degrees in both Business Administration and Native Studies from both Cambrian College and Laurentian University. He is presently pursuing a Professional Masters degree in Public Administration at Queens University.
He has been active on many business development files over the recent years - two important partnerships were born this year. The first partnership is the creation of a new Quality Inn and Suites in the city of Val d’Or, Quebec - a high-end three-storey establishment with 82 rooms, executivestyle conference rooms, a fitness room and an up-scale continental breakfast service.
